Tahira is a seasoned investor and operator in the fintech space. She has invested in over 75 early-stage fintech startups, including four unicorns, and enjoys working closely with founders to accelerate their growth.

She has a commitment to driving measurable impact through her work and views impact as a returns multiplier.

Prior to co-founding ResilienceVC, Tahira was a Managing Director at Accion Venture Lab, a seed-stage venture capital impact fund focused on inclusive fintech. Before that, Tahira was a Director at LeapFrog Investments, a private equity impact fund focused on financial services, and was a Director at the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development where she drove strategic initiatives for portfolio companies and led new investments in technology and financial services in Asia and Africa. Tahira also worked at Roshan, Afghanistan’s leading telecommunication operator, where she was Head of Corporate Strategy and helped launch the country’s first mobile payments platform.

Tahira began her career as a Management Consultant with Bain & Company in Boston.Tahira holds an MBA from INSEAD and BAs in International Relations, Computer Science, and Education from Brown University. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University and Johns Hopkins University, teaching courses on Venture Capital and Impact Investing. She is an advisor to Village Capital, a mentor for TechStars, and on the Investor Advisory Board of The Fourth Floor.Tahira lives in Washington DC; she is a voracious reader, practices martial arts and teaches self-defense, and loves to explore the city and beyond.

Vikas has spent his career operating and investing in startup led innovation in financial services.  

He has invested in over 70 fintech startups, helping them raise over $1 billion and creating over $3 billion in value, with a singular focus on inclusive solutions for highly  underserved consumers and small businesses.Prior to co-founding ResilienceVC, Vikas was a Managing Director at Accion Venture Lab, where he led the fund’s investment work globally and was a Board member of Self Inc, Konfio, SMECorner, StreetShares, and Tienda Pago (among others).  Previously, Vikas was an M&A investment banker at Evercore Partners, where he advised on multiple corporate transactions with aggregate value of over $45 billion across the financial services, technology, real estate and consumer products sectors. He also helped build two pioneers in the microfinance space, as an early employee at Ujjivan and ASA International, both of which are now publicly traded companies.Vikas has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School.  

He is an Adjunct Professor at Columbia Business School and Johns Hopkins (SAIS), where he teaches courses on startup investing and inclusion.  He is also the Chair of the Investment Committee of The Catalyst Fund, a climate fintech fund focused on Africa, and is a fintech contributor for Forbes.  Vikas lives in Washington DC with his wife and two sons, who he regularly regales with his middling tennis and guitar skills.

Bryson has robust experience in the fintech space, having worked with dozens of financial health startups. Formerly, Bryson Hearne led financial health accelerator programs at Village Capital and assisted the Financial Health Innovation Fund in investing in several early stage fintechs. Over the course of his tenure, Bryson supported 8 accelerator programs, alongside program partners like Zuora, TIAA, MetLife Foundation, HPE, PayPal, among others. Previously, Bryson spent time supporting the investment team at IGNIA Capital in Mexico City. 

Bryson holds a bachelor’s in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and completed graduate studies in international business at The University of Virginia and ESADE. 

Bryson lives in Washington D.C.; he loves hiking, running, and teaching classes on personal finances.

Billy is responsible for supporting all aspects of the investment process including sourcing, due diligence, transaction execution, and portfolio monitoring and support. He has prior experience working with companies seeking to improve financial health in underserved communities across 4 continents, most recently serving as Head of Strategy for Pluang, a Indonesian retail investments startup. Previously, Billy worked in investment banking and investment management with Mesirow Financial Private Equity and Bank of America Merrill Lynch. 

Billy holds an MBA from Wharton, an MA from Johns Hopkins SAIS, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois. 

Billy lives in Washington DC where he is actively soliciting recommendations for hole-in-the-wall restaurants and places to watch Big Ten sports (I-L-L!).
